- Farwell has a nice city park with a brick barbecue and picnic tables located at 308 Lander Avenue.
- Local and area residents can enjoy baseball games and concessions at the lighted baseball field located at 303 Nesbitt Avenue.
- Farwell Public School at 400 Ramsey Street has a great new updated playground with spiral slide and merry-go-round. Basketball courts and a picnic table and park bench are also located at the school ground.

Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area
If you enjoy fishing, camping and
boating, than Sherman lake is for you. This lake has many amenities to take
advantage of. With 2,845 acres of water and 4,721 acres of land surrounding
it, there is plenty of room to relax. Farwell is the perfect spot to start
your trip because Sherman SRA is located 15 miles to the west on Hwy 92. For

Bowman Lake State Recreation Area
Want to really get away from it all,
check out Bowman lake. This man made lake offers 20 acres of water and 23 acres
of land with access to the Loup River.

Happy Jacks Chalk Mine
Located 25 miles away near Scotia, Nebraska
Happy Jacks Chalk Mine is a chance to experience a rare wonder. Whether it

Museum of Nebraska Major League Baseball
Located at 619 Howard Avenue
in St. Paul, Nebraska, the Museum
of Nebraska Major League Baseball has displays of Nebraska Baseball
Hall of Famers G.C. Alexander, Wahoo Sam Crawford, Dazzy Vance, Bob Gibson

Howard County Historical Village
The Historical Village, located
in St. Paul at 1005 Sixth Street consists
of six antique buildings -- a church, school, store, blacksmith shop, post
office, and depot. They

Swimming in the new heated outdoor municipal pool is another favorite pastime. This updated pool offers a water slide, zero depth entry, and various other water toys. The St. Paul Municipal Pool offers Red Cross swim lessons for children and adults, water aerobics, and swim team competitions. The swimming pool is located right next to the city park at 418 Indian Street.
Polish Heritage Center
Celebrate the Polish Heritage at the Polish Heritage Center located in
Ashton, Nebraska. The center houses a headquarters office, museum, library,
a genealogical collection, meeting rooms and a gift shop. Activities include
cultural exploration and an annual festival celebrating their proud heritage.
